The title of this blog is true, my mother did marry a felon (it gets better - my parents separated less than two months before my own wedding). Oh yeah, my mom remarried less than two months after her divorce from my dad was final.

But, the whole thing taught me some very important lessons. Life throws a lot of crap at you that you have absolutely zero control over. The only thing you have control over is your own reaction to that crap. This blog is all about developing your ability to deal with the crap, and making the best out of your life. Everyone deserves to live the best life that they can live; the key is knowing what your “best life” is.

This blog isn’t about hand-holding. I don’t get into the mushy crap, the touchy-feely stuff, and the over-self-analyzing (trust me, none of us are that complicated). If you’re not willing to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty, then this blog is NOT for you.
